Before You’re Ready

Today I am signing the final paperwork on my new condo! And as much as I’d love to share more, right now I have too much boring “adulting” to do.

Here’s a quote that sums up my whirlwind of a week:

“Eventually the page will turn, even before you are ready. You will be offered a new part to play. You may not have practiced for this part, but you must—with bravery and grace—jump in anyway.” – from “To Save Yourself” by Lisa Shatzky in Rehoming Yourself After a Breakup.

Whether you’re in a whirlwind adventure or a peaceful lull, the page will turn and your life will change. Get ready to jump in with bravery and grace! And maybe a little fear and trembling.

With love,

Laurie

  1. Hi Laurie,
I am excited to hear that you have taken the next step. Congratulations on being the owner of a condo!
Please let me know if you head back to Arizona. We will probably be here another 18 months or so, depending on how quickly our house sells.
    Love,
    Judi

  2. Laurie,
I see you are now a home owner.I hope you don’t give up
    blogging.
It has been very inspirational to read.So much of it I can identify with.
Best of Luck in your Condo. I live in a Condo in Key West, FL. Pretty nice just lock up and leave..

  3. I just love your positivity in everything you write!! I started reading your blogs after loosing my dog to sickness and old age at the end of June this year. Devastated, I needed comfort which you gave me! As a retired solo senior, I miss him dearly.
However on the bright side, I am looking forward to travelling which I haven’t been able to do because of my sick dog.
Thank you for your enlightenment on so many issues. Hope you are happy in your new home. Sincerely, Suzanne

    1. Thank you, Suzanne. I’m sorry you lost your dog. It’s so hard to say goodbye to a beloved member of the family.
I hope your travels go smoothly – with just enough adventure to keep you excited and alert! 🙂
      With love,
      Laurie
