When Life Gets Weird

A couple months ago when I was here in Sault St. Marie, Ontario, I sent you 3 Ways to Make Life Easier

It was early May and the weather was still chilly. The roads were quiet, everyone at school and work. I was on my way to St John’s, Newfoundland. I had a destination and a purpose, a plan and a goal.

Things are different now—it’s hot, busy and more complicated! I’m going home and wondering what’s next. It’s also a little weird to drive through some of the places I visited on my way east. Tonight I’ll even sleep in the same spot as last time.

It’s somehow the same, yet completely different. It’s funny how that happens, isn’t it? Like when someone dies…everything has changed yet it’s exactly the same.

Life sure gets weird sometimes.

Last week a reader asked where I sleep while traveling across Canada. In 14 Stealth Camping Spots That Aren’t Wal-Mart Parking Lots, I share a few pictures of places I slept on my cross-Canada road trip. It’s a two-minute video without a single word, which is weird for me.

  1. I know this is a personal question, but I was wondering if you got a divorce since you travel so much now (I completely understand if you don’t wish to answer). Thank you for all of your encouraging posts. They really brighten my day and are so helpful. Take care.
